Joe Biden Flashes CHEEKY SMILE As He Shades Donald Trump:
Joe Biden flashed a smile when reporters asked about Donald Trump’s felony conviction and its potential impact on the 2024 election.
As Biden began to walk away, a reporter pressed, “Do you think the conviction will have an effect on the campaign?” Biden stopped, turned slowly toward the camera, and, with a wide smile, said nothing before continuing out of the room.
Earlier that day, Biden had delivered a sharp speech about Trump, describing his opponent as reckless and dangerous for calling his criminal trial “rigged.” Biden stated, “It’s reckless, dangerous, and irresponsible for anyone to say this was rigged.
The justice system should be respected, and we should never allow anyone to tear it down.” His calm and composed demeanor stood in stark contrast to Trump’s aggressive press conference earlier at Trump Tower.
Trump, in attack mode, launched into misleading and false claims, while Biden focused on tangible facts. Biden criticized Trump’s repeated assertions that every trial against him is part of a “witch hunt” dating back to 2016.
The consequences of Trump’s falsehoods have been significant. Fox News had to pay Dominion Voting Systems nearly $800 million for defamation, and former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson was fired. Trump’s rhetoric has harmed his allies and supporters, but not himself.
Biden also referenced the January 6, 2021, insurrection, when Trump supporters stormed the Capitol. Dozens of those supporters were later imprisoned for sedition.
Trump’s Friday morning tirade included falsehoods about Judge Juan Merchan and disparaging comments about Biden, calling him “the worst president in American history” and “the most corrupt,” despite Trump facing numerous indictments.
The first presidential debate of 2024 is set for June 27, and it promises to be even more explosive than in 2020. Trump’s re-election campaign hinges on portraying himself as strong and Biden as weak, while Biden emphasizes his genuine concern for Americans compared to Trump’s power-driven motives.
Despite the conviction, Trump’s supporters remain galvanized. Karoline Leavitt, a Trump spokeswoman, stated, “Biden’s puppet masters are in full panic trying to figure out how to prop up their feeble candidate.”
