How Trump Plans To Make Voters Hate KAMALA Harris
With Donald Trump and Kamala Harris running close in the polls and favorability ratings, Republicans are pouring millions into attack ads targeting the vice president.
Data from AdImpact shows that from August 23 to August 29, the Trump campaign and its associated super PACs allocated 57 percent of their TV ad spending to anti-Harris campaigns. In contrast, the Democratic ticket spent just 8 percent of their television budget on ads against Trump.
“We’re at a point where we’re trying to define her, and she’s also defining herself,” a Trump adviser explained to The Washington Post. “Our candidate is well-known—people already know everything about him. But there’s still a lot people don’t know about Kamala Harris.”
In response, the Vice President’s campaign has chosen a different approach, positioning her as the “underdog candidate” who aims to rise above the negativity, cynicism, and divisiveness of the past.
“She’s not trying to make herself a symbol or a historic figure,” said Democratic political strategist David Axelrod in his conversation with the Post.
“She’s running as someone who has the experience and values to lead the country forward and address the issues that matter most to people. I think that’s a smart strategy.”
Harris has largely brushed off the personal attacks from the GOP nominee, dismissing Trump’s criticisms of her racial identity and strategy as just part of the “same old tired playbook.” In a recent interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, she showed little concern for these familiar tactics.
Back in August, Trump brought back his 2016 campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, despite the sexual misconduct allegations against him. Lewandowski, who described Harris as a “much easier opponent,” said their strategy to defeat the Democrats hasn’t changed.
“Our daily focus is on making sure the American people are aware of Kamala’s dangerously liberal record and see her for who she truly is,” said the former president’s campaign spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt.
“A phony, radical, San Francisco liberal who would push our once-great nation further into chaos, turning it into a haven for illegal immigrants and a nightmare for law-abiding Americans.”
And if that approach doesn’t work? “Then you paint her as a liar who can’t be trusted,” Republican strategist Jeff Roe told Puck.
Trump is a nut, a nobody which we cannot trust. Why somany americans still believe in him is completely crazy. He should be in gail for years.
