Donald Trump WILL BE CONVICTED:
As the jury begins deliberations in Donald Trump’s high-profile hush money trial, the nation anxiously awaits the verdict. The jurors, now guided by legal instructions from the judge, are set to start their discussions today, facing the monumental task of reaching a unanimous decision in this historic case.
Trump is facing 34 charges of falsifying business records. The prosecution argues that Trump and his associates orchestrated a cover-up of damaging stories during the 2016 presidential campaign by paying hush money, including to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, Gregory Germain, a law professor at Syracuse University, shared his predictions on the case’s outcome. “I think the DA and the judge are fully invested in obtaining a conviction,” Germain said. He added, “I think the judge will gloss over the legal issues in the jury instructions to allow a conviction by framing the legal issue around the propriety of paying hush money rather than the legality of paying hush money and how that relates to the document’s charges.”
Germain also speculated on the jury’s composition and potential bias. “I doubt there are any Trump supporters on the jury, and I think they are likely very offended by Trump’s conduct in and out of court,” he said. “So, even though only one juror is needed for Trump to obtain a mistrial, and despite the case’s flaws, I predict the jury will convict him.”
Despite this, Germain believes it is unlikely Trump will serve time in prison. “It would be outrageous to sentence Trump to jail for a first-time non-violent Class E felony. Doing so would cause a constitutional crisis and betray the judge’s bias, so I think the judge will sentence him to probation,” he explained.
Germain also anticipated further legal battles, stating, “Ultimately, I think the verdict will be reversed on appeal. If the judge sentences Trump to prison, the courts will intervene quickly. If Trump isn’t sentenced to prison, the appeal will take its time and be reversed after the election.”
On Tuesday, Trump’s lawyers and Manhattan prosecutors presented their final arguments to the jury, who now hold the power to decide if Trump will become the first former US president convicted of a crime. The case’s outcome hinges on the strength of the evidence and the credibility of the prosecution’s key witness.
After over four weeks of testimony, the jury listened attentively to closing arguments that extended from morning until evening. As deliberations begin, the high-stakes nature of this trial underscores its significance for Trump’s political future and the broader American legal landscape.
It seems to me that the issue ISN’T whether Trump paid off anybody – which the result of the jury’s verdict confirms that, in their collective opinion, he did – as much as the REASON why he made those payments! And that reason has already been stated: to influence the outcome of a general election.
And it is on THIS point that Trump should be sentenced – not on the payment issue itself! Trump will, as usual, brush off his actions as “petty”, “insignificant”, etc, and minimise his actions as much as possible in order to hide what his REAL motives were for those actions. He knew exactly what he was hoping to achieve – and that was a criminal offence!
For that reason alone Trump – just the same as any other person convicted on this basis, so no special treatment for being an “ex” anything – should serve a prison sentence.
if that does not transpire, and Trump should win the forthcoming election, the American Constitution will be under fire like never before! There will be no lessons to be learned by Trump and his ilk. Everything, backed up by regular suggestions of threats, impatience, and limits reached, will become negotiable. And if THAT’S what America votes for then they have only themselves to blame for what will undoubtedly be the new right-wing, Neofascist, regime coming out of Washington, once Trump sets foot back in the White House!
America seriously needs to wake up! As does Joe Biden, who – if he fails to use all his teams’ expertise to see off this convict – will live (along with the rest of America) to rue the day he failed to take the required, essential action! Basically, if this is how he handles America’s potentially biggest internal Constitutional crisis, what does THAT say for how is he going to handle similar threats from certain hostile overseas actors?
THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING!
